Preparing for a Job Interview

Bridgehaven’s Human Resources Manager will show you how to prepare for a job interview:  Learn what to expect, what questions may be asked, and how to dress. And ask him anything you’ve been dying to know!

Jess has been a member of the Human Resources profession for more than 25 years.  He is a member of the local Human Resources group, LSHRM (Louisville Society of Human Resources Management) and in the past held the Newsletter Editor position.

Financial Empowerment

This workshop will dive into the various resources and actions that make up Financial Empowerment, including Literacy, Stability, Capability, and Asset Building. Attendees will also be introduced to Behavioral Economics, which explains how we make financial decisions.

Joseph Cecil is the Financial Empowerment Coordinator for the Office of Resilience and Community Services (Louisville Metro Government), and has held that role for 9 years. He has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Arts from Bellarmine University. He is an adjunct Professor at Bellarmine University where he teaches a 400-level class on Financial Empowerment.

The Future of Peer Support

In this session, attendees will learn about peer support, the unique contributions they’ve made to the behavioral health field, new areas of development in peer support and how to expand on their career as a Peer Support Specialist.

Amber Collins, LPCA is a Program Administrator with the Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. Before joining the State, she had a vast career in the behavioral health field, spanning over 12 years and in many different capacities including peer support, targeted case management, mental health and substance use counseling, and clinical director.
